Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a conference-exhibition “Saving. Ecology. Efficiency. Cooperation for Sustainable Development of the Region” based on results of the Project “Green Chamber. Initiative for Sustainable Development”.
During the conference, the winners and laureates of the contest of innovative products, the best technical and service solutions in the field of green economy “Green Impulse. Green Chamber Award” have been awarded. It has been organised by Dnipropetrovsk CCI together with the regional authorities and with the support of German partners for the second year in a row.
The purpose of the competition was to promote the introduction of effective technologies, solutions and services in the field of “green” economy, which allow reducing the use of resources and negative impact on the environment while preserving its economic efficiency. As a result of the careful selection, 8 applications became the winners.
“Dnipropetrovsk CCI has managed to warm up the regional market of “green” services and we see here huge perspectives,” – said Vitaliy Zhmurenko, President of Dnepropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The honorary guests of the event were Volodymyr Tyurin, Deputy Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, Rostyslav Korobka, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, Vitaliy Lytvyn, Advisor to the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration, Peter Schmahl, Vice Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Within framework of the conference an exhibition-presentation of “green” providers-exhibitors, manufacturers and suppliers of technological solutions, services and products has been organised.
The opportunities and results of the “green” field of activity of the Dnipropetrovsk CCI were presented by its Vice-President Sergiy Kucheryavenko. As part of the Project “Green Chamber Award. Initiative of Sustainable Development “, Dnipropetrovsk CCI organised training of more than three thousand managers, energy experts, engineers and ecologists of enterprises, civil servants, local consultants, scientists and entrepreneurs of Dnipropetrovsk region.
As an active tool for business it should serve a regional base of competencies / providers of green services on the portal www.greenchamber.org.ua, aiming at developing of the market of green services in the Dnipropetrovsk region, systemic support of a platform for contacts, exchange of information between providers of green services / products and end users.
Vitaliy Zhmurenko handed over the honorary certificate to Dagmar Ecer, Director of the Green Economy Program (implemented by GIZ).
