On 21st of August, 2017 a High Ranking Meeting chaired by the First Vice-Prime-Minister – Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine S. Kubiv was dedicated to the New Vision of Industrial Development for Ukraine. The First Vice-Prime-Minister outlined the general directions of the new vision of industrial policy, including EU-approaches, and highlighted the importance of elaboration of an evidenced-based comprehensive industrial strategy and the organizational structure needed to ensure quality and timeline. The Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal on European Integration N. Boiko, the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food O. Kovaliova, the Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Utilities E. Krugliak, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science M. Striha and the Head of the Strategic Advisory Group for Supporting Ukrainian Reforms (SAGSUR) I.Miklosh actively participated in the discussion and expressed their readiness to be involved in the process of strategy development from the very beginning. The meeting marked an official set-up of the Steering Committee on the elaboration of the National Strategy for Industrial Development and Action Plan for Ukraine, which involves representatives of the above mentioned Ministries, the National Committee for Industrial Development, SAGSUR and Reforms Delivery Office.
